Sweet Pea Gardens ~ Flower Shop & Gallery is now showing Lynn Karlin's "The Pedestal Series".

Karlin's gorgeous photographs celebrate the seasons and capture the flavor and form of the harvest: heirloom vegetables, furled fiddlehead ferns, luscious tomatoes, and flowers fresh from the garden. Visits to local farmers' markets and the popular Chase's Daily, in Belfast, Maine, a farm to table restaurant, led Karlin on a quest to honor vegetables by literally placing them on pedestals. Her eclectic mix of old pedestals has grown to more than a dozen.

Lynn is an internationally published photographer specializing in homes and gardens. Originally from New York City, she was the first woman staff photographer for Woman's Wear Daily and W. Her magazine assignments included House Beautiful, Country Living, the New York Times Magazine, and New York Magazine. In 2004 she won a Garden Globe Award of Achievement for the cover of Garden Design magazine featuring a photo of a sweet pea from the cover story on Sweet Pea Gardens. She is also the coproducer and photographer of three books: Maine Farm, A Year of Country Life and the two popular Gardens Maine Style books.
